Community Willow Bed
The project is a collaboration between the Village Hall, Menter Môn and the Cwlwm Seiriol volunteers. Members of the Llangoed WI prepared the willow bed last summer as part of the garden renovation project. Local willow artist Maggie Evans has sourced and coordinated the planting of 8 different varieties of willow cuttings from Warwickshire Willow. The willow, once mature, will be used for community basketry and willow crafts. We have also planted a willow dome!
